This is my first color try of Obama. I'm not satisfied with it but it should be posted. I will get better if I keep trying. An earlier pencil drawing in on the blog. I'm still having problems getting facial tones so my next post will be of different ways of coloring faces.

It's great, Christella! I do admire your talent! I can't draw a straight line even with a ruler!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!

I think it's awesome! And, a fitting tribute to our Commander in Chief. Skin tones are tough with watercolors, but you did a good job.
ReplyDeleteI love Obama. I would love to be pondering over his face like you are as you draw it. This is serious, yet soft. I like it. Also love Michelle. Bo The Dog - not so sure about (is there a smiley face punctuation way to do 'tongue-in-cheek?). - in reference to your comment, that's the hard thing about electronic (or written) communication - we don't get to see facial expressions. In case you're wondering - I'm a huge dog-lover. I think Bo is great. He just needs to be trained.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful! I love the way you captured the way his grin begins on the left side of his face.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great! I like the way you incorporated the red and blue in the background.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouraging comments. I am going to continue growing.
ReplyDelete...scrolled through all your memory posts hoping to see no photo of your son with Bo. Has he ever scanned it and sent you a copy? Now, that would make a nice painting!
ReplyDeletewoops - typo - hoping to see "a, " not "no" photo -
ReplyDeleteThis is a great drawing! It's quite natural and real. I enjoyed looking at your watercolors. They are beautiful! Keep going. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Bo & Cameron picture. I dragged it to my desktop to save. Don't worry about leaving a lot of comment posts. I don't think anyone minds scrolling...
ReplyDeleteI am loving your Art work! I need to pass your blog onto my youngest son who loves to draw. This drawing of President Obama is very nice.
ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job with your blog:)
