Singing the Blues


This was done several years ago after I saw a picture in a magazine.  I hesitated to post it because her features are strange but there is something about this that I really like.  She looks sad so I titled it "Singing the Blues."

    You are right, she does look sad. But, I like it. Like my mom, I wonder what she is thinking about. A romance gone awry? A long lost friend? Simpler times?

    This is very Picasso-esque. I love the purple hues in it. I love the lips and the configuration of the dress around the neck. You have a very unique style.
